While I realize that Stalin has supported Hitler since August 1939, and has shared the glory of Hitler's conquests in the East, it is Britain's duty to help Stalin push back the German front. If Hitler invaded hell I should make a favorable reference to Satan in the House of Commons. My main struggle at this point is to find the tanks, guns, trucks, fuel, and food to send to Russia. I fear that my only option is to parcel out the supplies that I wanted to send to North Africa to help with Britain's fight against Rommel. My belief is that Hitler believes that by conquering Russia, he will be able to force Britain to surrender. His other option would be to conquer the United States, and this could never happen. If Hitler cannot break us or achieve peace with us, the war will go on, with an ever increasing chance that Hitler will lose. My hope is that Hitler's invasion of Russia will be his fatal mistake. My fear is that this invasion will lead to the death of too many innocent people. I pray that my support of Russia will lead to Hitler's downfall and that I am wrong about the deaths to come.
