I hope Hitler is dead! Not to be offensive, but he has tortured
millions of innocent lives. Many family names have vanished. He has killed many
people who could have changed the world. I feel horrible for those who died in
the bombing, though. As I look out my attic window, I see the old tree, I think
that if you multiplied every leaf by 75, that might equal roughly half of the
lives he has changed [bad]. One of my many admirers disappeared from school,
[before I went into hiding] in Mathematics. Mathematics is right after lunch. We
have an hour to do whatever we prefer. I usually go home with Sanne. I saw him
walking towards home as well. I have not seen him since. Rumors have been going
round that he was taken to Bergen-Belsen.
I will pray till further notice on whether or not Hitler is dead.
What do you mean by, “After the explosion I heard footsteps,
you know, after it all settles down there are two distinct footsteps. This
might just be my crazy imagination.”
What are the two distinct footsteps?
Were you there when it happened?-Anne Frank
